When clearing clutter is emotionally difficult
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve opened a closet or cabinet packed full of junk and been too overwhelmed I just shut the door and walk away. This went on for the last two years. After taking on essentially two additional households of my parents' (and subsequently my grandparents') belongings, I needed to get rid of things physically and emotionally. I had closets and cabinets and a shed full of furniture and “important” crap I was guilted into holding on to. I tried several times to go through items just to get upset and cram them back into the place I hid them. I was being held down and traumatized by the items for long enough.
Caren literally came to my rescue! She came in and calmly designated an area to work. We went through things one by one, carefully being mindful to not let me touch anything to keep emotions associated with items down. We separated keep, donate, and trash sections in which only she packs and takes to specified charities of choice and takes and discards the trash as well so I’m not finding myself going back. We get rid of 80% of my stuff every time we go to a new space in the house, and it feels SO GOOD!
Plus it looks amazing, minimal, and so organized I happily return everything to its proper place! Which is a big deal since I am naturally messy and losing things all over the house. She does AMAZING work and it has really lifted a huge weight emotionally off my shoulders. Ready for the next project!!!

HOW IT WORKS
Steps to Achieving a Tidy Home:
1. We have a free initial consultation in your home where we discuss problem areas, your goals, a budget, and a timeline.
2. I devise a personalized plan for your specific spaces and send you this plan that includes possible items to purchase, start date and schedule, and the preliminary price.
3. We work together step-by-step to reach all of your organization and productivity goals - as slowly or as quickly as you want.
4. I charge by the hour (email for rates) and request payment at the end of each work day (via cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
My Main Goals While Organizing:
I try to use what you already have to organize your space. I can also purchase organizational products for any budget - from dollar-store hacks to high-end items that match your design aesthetic.
I help you let go of things that are no longer serving you.
I re-home belongings in an ethical and environmentally friendly way. You will get to choose from a menu of charitable organizations where you would like your belongings to go. I will take them for you and bring back or mail your donation receipts for taxes.
I bring a sense of peace and calm back to your space. When I am done decluttering and organizing, you should have plenty of free space with room to grow.
I set up personalized home systems that focus on ease of use and practicality.
